Tuberculosis

Franklin County Health Department is responsible for the management of all active TB cases in Franklin County.

Services include:

• PPD and X-Ray screenings
• Identification of those at risk for possible TB infection and disease
• Treatment of high risk persons with latent TB infection
• Identification of appropriate treatment regimens
• Identification of appropriate measures for prevention of transmission
• Identification of resources and referrals to clients with TB
• Education for local institutions and clinicians
• Contact investigation and surveillance
• Counseling, follow-up and outreach
