Prenatal Services

The Franklin County Health Department provides prenatal services to residents of Franklin County who do not qualify for other medical assistance. The client must provide a denial letter from Medicaid and must have an income that is at or below 185% of the poverty level. The clients are referred to local OB/GYN’s for their prenatal examinations. The clients visit the health department clinic monthly for WIC, lab services, and prenatal counseling. The health department works closely with the local OB/GYN offices to coordinate care of these clients.
