MARCH 1st, 2012:  DIABETES COOKING CLASS
When: 6:00-7:00pm
Where:  Public Health Center, 851 East West Connector
This class is part of our Diabetes Meal Planning Sessions, topic is "Quick, Easy and Healthy Snacks".   This class is free however registration is required.  To register email DebbieY.Bell@ky.gov or call 564-5559.


MARCH 10th, 2012:  DIABETES SELF-MANAGEMENT EDUCATION CLASS
When: 8:30am to 4:00pm
Where: Public Health Center, 851 East West Connector
The material covered during this 8 hour sessions will include an overview of diabetes, monitoring & management, acute complications, nutrition & physical activity, preventing long term complications, sick day management and medications.  
        *Attendance at the entire session is highly encouraged.  
        *Please bring a sack lunch to the class.

MARCH 19th, 2012: "GROWING STRONGER" INFORMATIONAL MEETING
When:  11:00am
Where: Public Health Center, 851 East West Connector
We will host an informational meeting for anyone wishing to join the upcoming Growing Stronger Program.  Growing Stronger is a free, 12-week weight lifting program for middle-aged and older adults.  Classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesday from 11am-12pm beginning April 2nd.  For more information, please call (502)564-5559.  Class size is limited.  Preference will be given to first time participants, otherwise registration for the program will be on a first-come first-serve basis.
